Your files
Statements you open in Tallyrow are processed in your browser. Tallyrow does not receive, store or transmit them.
What we collect
- Usage events: a random visitor id kept in your browser’s local storage, the page path, referring site, campaign tags in the URL, country (from the network), a rough device type, and funnel steps such as file opened, page count, export format, plan clicked. We do not record file names or any content from your files.
- Forms: the email address and message you type into the feedback, checkout or scanned-PDF forms.
- Network address: used only to rate-limit writes. It is stored as a salted hash that we cannot reverse to an address, in a daily counter.
Local storage
The browser keeps a visitor id, your assigned page variant (A or B), and the date of your last free export. These stay on your device and can be cleared in browser settings. No cookies are set.
How we use data
Usage events are used to see which pages and plans people use, to fix bugs and to improve the converter. Email addresses are used to reply to your message, to notify you about features you asked for (such as scanned-PDF support) and, once payments open, to send your receipt. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your data for advertising.
Third parties
- Google Analytics (GA4): the site loads Google’s tag (Measurement ID G-THSTSK36L6) to measure traffic, such as page views, approximate location and device type. Google may set cookies or use similar identifiers for this. It never receives your statement files. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- Cloudflare: hosts the site and its server functions, and provides Turnstile, the spam check on forms. Turnstile loads only when you start filling in a form.
- Waffo (payment processor, not yet live): when paid packs open, payment is handled on a Waffo checkout page. Waffo collects your payment details and email address to take payment and send your receipt. Tallyrow does not store card numbers. Waffo’s own privacy policy applies to the data it collects.
Retention
Usage events and form submissions are kept while the service operates, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about your email address, to correct it, or to delete it (including leads you left through the checkout, scanned-PDF or feedback forms). Email [email protected] from the same address, or use the feedback form. Anonymous usage events are not tied to your email; clearing your browser’s site data removes the visitor id they are keyed on.
